Last month, G Perico blessed his fans with his latest body of work No Love In LA, a seven-track offering with a single assist from Haiti Babii. Today, the South Central emcee unveils a new video from that project for “Doin Floccs,”
“We doin’ floccs, we sellin’ rocks, a hunnid pounds of exotic’s in a box, niggas shooting, and gettin’ shot, when you hit the county jail, it ain’t no guns, where your heart? Insane in my mufuckin’ brain nigga, I was the hunt on fourth, bustin’ down cocaine, nigga, we ran outta bricks, nigga, call Wine, he gon’ drop it off, like, ‘get back at me later on’/”
Shot by Dep TV, the short clip shows Perico with his crew somewhere in Los Angeles, draped in blue light with dope whips, dice, some light twerking, a bag of the rapper’s own Innerprize OG, and more. Just another day in the hood.
In addition to No Love In LA, G Perico also blessed the masses with the projects Free, Welcome To The Land, and Lover Boy Slim this year alone, along with visuals from those releases for standouts like “Talk About It” and “Never Made Statements.” In addition to his own work, he could be heard contributing to dope cuts like Jay Worthy and Harry Fraud’s “Ice Cold,” Terrace Martin and Denzel Curry’s “Pig Feet,” Don Pablito’s “West Coast,” Garren’s “Heavy Metal,” Joey Fatts’ “None of That,” Donut Da Legend’s “Double Back,” Fatboy Bizzle’s “Feel Me Or Kill Me (Remix),” TruCarr’s “What I See,” and — most recently — Griff Tyler’s “Wassup.” Simply put, Perico has quickly become one of the most prolific west coast artists in the past year.
