Last year, Nick Cannon unveiled his latest movie She Ball, which was produced by his Ncredible imprint in conjunction with Cash Money Records. As the days to its official release become nearer, Birdman has decided contribute to the film’s soundtrack, and has unveiled a new Weezy-assisted single titled “Stunnaman,” which also features Compton star Roddy Ricch and sees the artists making sure their wealth remains well-documented:
“I’m lit like the light at the end of the tunnel, man, boy, there just might be a train comin’, man, I had to spend some money to win some money, I had the rooftop down to stare at the tits in the mornin’…”
In addition to assisting Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Tyga, Young Thug, and others with becoming the bonafide stars that they are, Birdman’s own musical catalog isn’t one to be trifled with, either — beginning with his run alongside Mannie Fresh as Big Tymers. He’s released four solo albums during his career, including the aforementioned Priceless and its deluxe re-release, all of which made landfall in 2009 and saw additional appearances from his T-Pain, Bun B, Gucci Mane, Lil’ Kim, Flo Rida, Rick Ross, and a wealth of his YMCMB cohorts. To this day, Like Father, Like Son stands as Birdman’s biggest prized possession as a recording artist, as the album peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 and has since earned him a Gold certification.
In a past interview with REVOLT’s “Drink Champs,” Birdman spoke on how high he feels he ranks as a successful entrepreneur within hip hop:
“To me, with all respect to everybody that ever did this shit, none of ‘em have done more than me … I sold over a billion records, I done sold over 300 billion streams, and I done did over 575 million on iTunes alone.”
