This past weekend, Yelawolf and Caskey joined forces for the joint LP Yelawolf Blacksheep, an 11-track body of work that saw additional appearances from Cub da CookUpBoss and Three 6 Mafia legend DJ Paul. The duo also revealed a new visual from the project for “Just The Intro,” which sees horn-blaring production from Money Montage and Taysty — perfect for both artists to obliterate from a lyrical standpoint:
“Bitch, it’s in that dump, bitch, it’s in that dump, piled up, gotta keep that bandana tied up, whip a dirty lambo out that parkin’ lot, graffiti on the seat because she bleeding, I don’t give a fuck, I’m greedy, I don’t give you truth not worth believing…/”
Directed by Zev, the two artists can be seen bloodied with hospital gowns in a room covered in plastic, with Yelawolf pushing around Caskey with a bag over his head. The two artists can also be seen in different locations — presumably in the same building — donning fresh clothes, snakes, and more throughout.
Outside of his work with his Alabama cohort, the Orlanda, Florida-based Caskey released two projects last year — the EP Viral and the full-length I Changed, the latter of which was released independently following a presumed departure from Birdman’s Cash Money Records. A fairly recent free agent himself, Yelawolf dropped Ghetto Cowboy in 2019, his first body of work since leaving Eminem’s Shady Records. He initially made the big announcement in 2018 during a performance in Colorado:
“Trunk Muzik 3 is my last album on Shady Records … Five fuckin’ albums on Shady Records. I feel blessed for that. Make some noise for Marshall Mathers!”
