Just last weekend, Pooh Shiesty unveiled his debut project Shiesty Season, which boasts 17 cuts and additional assistance from Lil Durk, Tay Keith, Choppa Wop, Lil Hank, Foogiano, BIG30, Veeze, 21 Savage, and 1017 head honcho Gucci Mane. Following music videos for “Back In Blood,” “Guard Up,” and “Neighbors,” the Memphis star liberates a new clip for “See Red,” a TP808 and Nick Seeley-produced single that sees Shiesty delivering the street bars that he’s become popular for:
“Everybody ‘round me see red, everybody ‘round me got one in the head, Shiesty pulled up shootin’, they fled, Shiesty pulled up shootin’, they was tryna fake dead/
Fuck, girl, lemme touch a lil’ bread, get too mad and I’ll pay for some blood to be shed, n***a, fuck your gang, you hеard what I said, ‘fore you crossed me you only sleep on a bunkbеd…/”
Directed by Jordan Spencer, the accompanying video keeps things fairly simple, with shots of Shiesty and a couple of beautiful women in different locations, including in a Rolls Royce and at what’s presumed to be the rapper’s lavish residence. Shiesty is seen flashing stacks of money, weed, and jewelry throughout, further confirming his current level of success.
In a recent interview on REVOLT’s “The Breakfast Club,” Shiesty spoke on his relationships with other artists in Memphis, as well as the city’s internal conflicts:
“I’m not just cool with everybody but we familiar in some type of way. They know me, for sure. Before the rap, either I went to school with ’em or they from my hood or they from the hood behind my hood. If I fuck with you, I fuck with you. You’ll know if I don’t.”
