WSTRN continue to deliver infectious tunes for perfect for any function. Last week, the trio unveiled their latest single “Professional Love,” which sees production from PRGRSHN and iO and is centered around a special kind of attention that they can provide to their respective love interests:
“She wanna travel ‘round the world, Prada and Chanel, Can I get the tip? You can keep that to yourself, I put my suit on so I look classier, loud pack make you happier, she take any plantain, not the ackee, ah, browning with a batty, ah, if I give you love, professional love, if you give me love, professional love, I put my suit on so I look classier…”
Somewhat like previous releases, “Professional Love” is also matched with a visualizer that features a group of men dancing along to the music — a slight departure from the women seen in clips for “Wonder Woman” and the Fireboy DML-assisted “Be My Guest.”
It’s been about two whole years since WSTRN dropped off their last body of work WSTRN Season, Vol. 2, which came with 16 songs and notable contributions from Unknown T, Miraa May, and SOB X RBE. Following Akelle’s big return after some highly publicized legal issues, the West London group continued to rebuild their momentum with top tier drops like “Re Up,” “Wag1” with Cashh, “Come Around” with Flipz and Loski, and the dual release “Never Find/Armagidion.” Last March, WSTRN made huge waves with “Mama Stay,” a song that brought home of a soon-come official debut album. Add in “Wonder Woman,” “Be My Guest,” and — now — “Professional Love,” and there is no doubt that the demand for a new body of work from WSTRN has approached a feverish pitch.
In the meantime, press play on both WSTRN’s “Professional Love” and its matching visualizer.
