Today’s been a pretty busy day with music releases, but hey, who’s complaining? Prolific singer and songwriter Alicia Keys has been an important piece of the music industry’s puzzle for quite some time now — since the release of her debut studio album Songs In A Minor, 19 years ago to be exact. If the heavy onslaught of new music that dropped today wasn’t enough for you, you’re in for a major audible treat as Alicia Keys drops off her highly anticipated, seventh studio album ALICIA. Might we add, it is filled with nothing but heat from top to bottom.

ALICIA serves as the follow up to her Here album, which she released back in 2016, and it’s exactly what you expected it to be — thorough. The multi Grammy award winning artist took to her social media announcing the album’s release, which fans were very much so excited to receive the news. Reason being that ALICIA was initially set to drop back in March, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, Keys shared the news via Instagram that she’ll be blessing us with a one-time visual performance in support of the album release:

“You heard the news!! The ALICIA Album drops Friday, September 18th!!!!!! I’m performing the music from ALICIA and other favs in a visual, sonic and emotional wonderland that @americanexpress helped me bring to life!! One night only!! I can’t wait to rock with you. I’ve missed you so much! Will you be there??”

Spanning a total of 15 records, Keys landed some prominent features from the likes of Khalid, Miguel, Snoh Aalegra, Tierra Whack, Diamond Platinumz, and legendary singer Jill Scott. Additionally, Ed Sheeran, The-Dream, and Tory Lanez all have songwriting credits on the album.
