Back in May, Ludacris previewed some unreleased tracks during his head-to-head Verzuz battle with Nelly. Today (Sept. 11), Ludacris officially shares that previewed single titled “Found You” featuring Chance the Rapper.
“Found You” includes legendary producer, playmaker, and Verzuz co-founder Timbaland on the beat, and has Chance swooping in for a smooth hook about finding a soothing lover. In Luda’s verse, he spits about being enamored by meeting his perfect fit:
“Reserved a place in my heart, and I’m handlin’ all accommodations. I’m so floored, you should win an award, for best spirit. I’m hearin’ you got all my nominations, all in moderation. Takin’ it slow but my mind racin’, loosin’ all my concentration.”
During the same battle, Luda shared a slew of songs he has stashed in the vault, including “S.O.T.L. (Silence of the Lambs)” with Lil Wayne, which has already officially dropped since then. He also played an unreleased version of 2006’s “Money Maker” featuring a verse from Nelly.
Another notable collaboration Chance the Rapper landed on this year was with Brandy on her single “Baby Mama,” which arrived just in time for Mother’s Day. The song is off her 2020 release b7, her first solo album in eight years, her last project being 2012’s Two Eleven.
