DaBaby is keeping things moving following the release of his third studio LP Blame It On Baby. For his latest, he drops off a new visual for the album intro “Can’t Stop,” which is produced by JW Lucas, LosTheProducer and Foreign Teck and gives off the right amount of energy to kick things off for listeners:
“B***h, it ain’t no stopping no n***a like me, this the intro, watch me get into it/
B***hes call me a cutie, I’m groovy, my daughter took care of forever off music/
Screaming, “Fly high,” to Kobe, Gianna, we ballin’ I can’t tell you s*** about losin’/
Finger f*** allegations, keep hatin’ I’m patiently waitin’ on n***as to prove it…/”
The visual comes courtesy of Reel Goats and keeps things pretty light-hearted, with DaBaby selling lemonade, riding around in a golf cart, posting up in front of some notable Charlotte skyscrapers and more. The video follows the short film “Find My Way” and the quarantine-styled clip for “Jump” with YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
Released earlier this month, Blame It On Baby becomes DaBaby’s latest success, landing the North Carolinian his latest Billboard 200 number one thanks to 124,000 equivalent album units sold. In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, he spoke on his many critics complaining that his music sounds the same:
“As far as switching the flow, I have no problem rapping circles around any one of these n***as…I’ll make a conscious album right now, I’ll record the whole s*** today. On some J. Cole vibes. Joyner Lucas. I can get in there too. At the end of the day, I understand what’s going on. You gotta milk the game. You gotta take advantage of it. If I switch it too quick, you ain’t gon’ like it. You gon’ be like ‘Damn Baby, I wanted you to turn me up.’”
