When the new year hit, Asian Doll — or Asian Da Brat, as she’s been going by — let it be known that she wanted out of her deal with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Eskimo imprint. Now, she’s apparently free from that contract, as she revealed to the world via social media back in January:
“I feel like I owe my fans the truth so here it goes I ASKED GUCCI MANE TO RELEASE ME FROM 1017 A COUPLE DAYS AGO & HE SAID “OKAY” IM OFFICIALLY AN INDEPENDENT ARTIST thank you alamo records/Eskimo Records for the opportunity but I’m NO LONGER IN MY DEAL. THANK YOU GOD”
Since then, the Dallas emcee returned to cooking up new music for her fans, including the recent drop “Pillow Talking.” More recently, she liberated the new single — and visual for — “Come Find Me,” which, as the title suggests, sees her drawing a line in the sand for all comers:
“Lil b***h said she looking for me, lil b***h come find me/
I’m in Dallas, Texas, thuggin’, aye, with some n***as thats grimy/
You niggas p***y, he gon’ shoot and miss it, y’all n***as ain’t slimey/
I got the drop on a opp right now, aye, my n***as riding and sliding/
Talking money, I’m listening, b***h this grown men business/
N***a don’t get in yo feelings, aye, I’m young, pretty and gifted/
Don’t open yo mouth hoe, listen…/”
The track is said to appear on her forthcoming release Doll Szn Reloaded, which will see seven tracks in all and a feature from Asian Doll’s beau, Chicago rapper King Von. Until then, you can press play on the clip for “Come Fine Me” below, directed by Dead Fly Films.
