Future isn’t letting the Coronavirus pandemic stop his forward movement. Following the Drake-assisted “Life Is Good” and its subsequent remix featuring DaBaby and Lil Baby comes a new track titled “Tycoon,” which is produced by DY Krazy and Wheezy and sees Future crooning his signature bars about success and street life:
“Ain’t got Activis, so f*** it, I had to red it/
I sent hitters from everywhere, they had to dead it/
You know my n***as, they bangin’ the same color as spaghetti/
I got my transport up and I got my Getty/
I’m gettin’ the passports stamped, we goin’ steady/
They try to cut a n***a throat off with a machete/
I know my lil’ bro’s gon’ kick the door in and let that lead hit/
I’m not an imposer so I’m tryna find an exit…/”
The accompanying visual – directed by Eif Rivera – constantly switches from Future enjoying a fly night out with his attractive co-star — complete with private airport and luxury car night ride shots — to an attempted home invasion robbery in progress. which you’ll have to watch until the very end for its outcome. Along with “Life Is Good,” the single looks to belong on Future’s upcoming project — his latest since last year’s The Wizrd album and Save Me EP.
In related news, Future is also using his resources to help combat the pandemic. It’s being reported that, through his and his family’s FreeWishes Foundation, has teamed up with Atlanta Sewing Style to create face masks for hospitals, all of which are experiencing an increasing shortage in supplies. The cleverly titled “Mask On Campaign” was further explained by Tia-Wilburn Anderson, Future’s sister and orgnization co-founder:
“It is important to my brother, Future and I that we are of service to our community, especially during this pandemic and throughout the year. This is why our family created the foundation.”
