Tory Lanez has a knack for morphing his style with every release that he puts forth, further proving that he’s one of the most versatile artists out right now. Following this year’s very different drops “K Lo K,” “Numb” and “Broke In A Minute,” the Canadian star returns with a new cut titled “W,” complete with a short visual to match. On the Saint Mino and 2one2-produced cut, Tory switches up the flow with street bars about women, money and being real:
“I can’t step back on my block without no W/
Lil’ b***h think I’m finna chase, yeah, I’ll find another you/
I’m outchea thuggin’, rollin’ stogies from this gas station/
I’m duckin’ paparazzi flash, lil’ b***h, I’m trap famous/
So many people know my pockets, it’s like my stash famous/
I remember bein’ so broke, s***, I ain’t wanna have no babies/
We was project playin’ ‘til Clip came with that black Mercedes/
If you was p***y then, you p***y now, n***a, you can’t erase it…/”
Last year, Tory Lanez delivered two projects, International Fargo and the well-received Chixtape 5, the latter of which was led by the T-Pain-assisted single “Jerry Sprunger.” He also released a Reloaded version of his 2018 album Love Me Now?, as well as a slew of one-off tracks that still get play today — including “Not Today,” “Melee,” “Forever,” and his high-profile disses to fellow rapper Joyner Lucas. Simply put, Tory Lanez is covering all bases with little effort.
Press play on “W” below. The track is said to be taken from the upcoming third installment of Tory Lanez’ The New Toronto series, of which the latest volume was released back in 2017. In related news, he was also recently spotted in the studio with Lil Kim, which could mean more music on the way sooner than later.
