Next year, 50 Cent will continue his successful “Power” series with a second spinoff titled Power Book III: Raising Kanan, which will act as a prequel centered around 50’s Kanan Stark character. This week, fans are able to enjoy the theme song for the upcoming show titled “Part of the Game,” a collaboration between 50 Cent, NLE Choppa, and Rileyy Lanez that gives a bit of what vibe viewers can expect:
“Make money, make-make, make money, when shit hit the fan, we’ll take money, Southsidе, be with the best of ‘еm, gun shot at the rest of ‘em, checks, I’m collectin’ ‘em, check, boy, I’m finessin’ em/
Bag Supreme, boy you fuck around, put a big bag on your head, ‘fore the weather break your bag, let’s get to it, they don’t do it like we do it, cop it, whip it, bag it, flip it…/”
“Part of The Game” follows a slew of non-album singles from the Queens legend, including “No Romeo No Juliet” with Chris Brown, “Still Think I’m Nothing” with Jeremih, “Crazy” with PnB Rock, and “Big Rich Town (Power Remix)” with Trey Songz and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie — the last of which was a widely panned reimagining of the original, Joe-assisted theme song to “Power.” Keeping with the “Power” theme, 50 Cent also dropped his conceptual Kanan Tape EP in 2015, which saw seven tracks and features from Boosie Badazz, Young Buck, Post Malone, and Sonny Digital.
50 Cent’s last studio LP, his fifth album Animal Ambition: An Untamed Desire to Win, was released in 2014 and originally saw 11 cuts with assists from Yo Gotti, Trey Songz, Jadakiss, Prodigy, Styles P, and more. A deluxe edition was later released with a few additional songs and another collaboration alongside ScHoolboy Q. It’s been near a decade since he first announced an album titled Street King Immortal — hopefully, that album will see the light of day before all is over.
In the meantime, fans can enjoy “Part of the Game” below.
