This past weekend, D-Block Europe unveiled their official debut album The Blue Print – Us Vs. Them, which boasts a healthy 29 cuts and features from Stefflon Don, Aitch, SRNO, and DBE associate Lil Pino. In addition to the release, fans can check out a visual for the album opener “Destiny,” which is produced by Jony Beats and sees the two artists harmonizing about the success they knew would eventually arrive:
“I was screamin’ ‘Free G,’ now the G free, pull up in a Porsche and a n***a ski, ski, I just made a hundred K off a count like ski, ski, ski, my n***a Gwalla in the booth right now, happy G-day, you n***as can’t buy this watch, can’t afford it, half a mill’, mortgage/
Hit a stain with her like Morley, n***a need new straps, I’ma endorse it, MAC-11 there, can someone enforce it? Need a hundred kit kats in Portsmouth, runnin’ from town, I was trappin’ in Dorset, free 9 Goddy, young n***a had Norwich/”
Directed by Suave, the accompanying visual shows the Young Adz and Dirtbike LB bring arrested and searched in the middle of their video shoot. Mixed with that footage are shots of the duo flexing money and jewelry in a fly whip and in the very garage that the encounter with the police presumably took place. It’s an interesting juxtaposition of the group enjoying life while also being a target for biased law enforcement.
