Dave East is becoming a pro at keeping his fans on their feet.
Most recently, the Harlem rapper has linked up with Lil Uzi Vert, with the pair seemingly an unlikely collaboration, given their own respective and contrasting sounds.
However, on their new track, “Don’t Try Me,” the two complement each other, with Lil Uzi’s rhyme-singing approach pairing well with East’s more straightforward bars.
According to reports, the track is set to appear on East’s forthcoming mixtape, with more details yet to be confirmed or announced.

Dave East is gearing up to make 2018 his, with the Harlem native dropping off some heat to help hold fans over until next week’s anticipated Paranoia 2 release. As previously reported, East’s follow-up project is slated to drop on Tuesday (Jan. 16), with the project’s cover art featuring an adorable photo of him and his baby girl, Kairi.
For East’s latest loose single, he teams up with producers Nick Paps and Jahlil Beats, with the pair crafting a perfectly hard beat for East to lyrically annihilate.
“Traumatized I know how a corpse really feel / I stand over your casket make sure that you gone,” he ruthlessly spits. “We flocked and run in houses when nobody home / If you put out a hit, they gone copy your song / If you diss me on a record we follow you home.”
