Cardi B is proud of her husband, and she’s letting everyone know it. The “Bongos” artist hopped on Twitter to make her feelings clear.
About her longtime love, Offset, she posted, “So proud of my baby!! Going against all odds… Leaving his label, starting fresh, staying focused determined and not letting nothing break him… He did that!”
She finished up with a cryptic, “MY TURN,” building anticipation for her next LP and making some fans wonder if she plans to leave Atlantic Records and go out on her own.
While Offset is currently signed to Capitol Records, he’s had issues with other labels in the past. He began working with Quality Control Music in 2013. In 2021, the Migos star negotiated a deal to buy back the rights to his solo work. He filed a lawsuit alleging that despite the deal, Quality Control continued to try to assert ownership over his hit “54321.”
Offset settled the lawsuit in 2023, confirming he would not work with Quality Control as a solo artist in the future. His second solo album, SET IT OFF, was released Oct. 13 on the Motown label.
He made his appreciation for his fans’ support clear in a post on Sunday (Oct. 22). He tweeted, “I want to thank everyone that loved the album. You guys don’t know how hard I worked on this project with all that went on in my life… We pushing through!!!!!”
Cardi is still working on her long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s Invasion of Privacy, which netted her two diamond-certified singles and a Grammy win.
The hip hop power couple met in 2016 and secretly married in 2017. In 2018, they welcomed their first child, a daughter. They both post on social media about how much they love and respect each other. Fans have watched their relationship blossom and evolve throughout the years.
