Back in February, Robert Glasper liberated the third installment of his Black Radio series, which contained 13 tracks and additional features from Big K.R.I.T., BJ The Chicago Kid, Killer Mike, Q-Tip, Yebba, H.E.R., Common, Musiq Soulchild, Jennifer Hudson, Ty Dolla $ign, and more. Currently, he’s gearing up for the release of Black Radio III (Supreme Edition), a deluxe version of the project that’s led by the Masego-assisted “All Masks.”
Yesterday (Oct. 10), Glasper dropped off another single from the forthcoming release titled “Therapy Pt. 2,” a collaboration alongside Mac Miller that is presumably a continuation of Miller’s Faces standout “Therapy.” With additional production from Curtis Jews, the posthumous offering sees the late rapper delivering some of his most poignant bars to date:
“You will find that we not very different, no, you and I, although I usually, usually find a way out, feelin’ like I’m in the skies, my hands could separate clouds, my b**ch go get me take-out, they used to hate, they love me, and they used to love, they hate now, the world I rearrange, I turned it to a bloody playground, this to the homies, stayin’ down through anything, a cheers to baby girl, who I would’ve coppеd a wedding ring, see, money isn’t evеrything, but it helps, we walk around with pride in our eyes to the skies, the lies that we tell…”
Just prior to the release of “Therapy Pt. 2,” Glasper took to social media to share his thoughts on the bittersweet record, revealing that it was created prior to the Pittsburgh star’s tragic passing:
“It was such an honor to have been able to do this joint with my bro [Mac Miller] before he left us…may his legacy live on.”
