The lucky ones who made it to the last day of menswear shows at Paris Fashion Week were able to witness Nigo’s debut collection for Kenzo and new music from Pusha-T.
Kenzo’s Fall/Winter 2022 women’s and men’s collections were on full display on the runway Sunday (Jan. 23).
A press release describes Nigo’s first collection for the Maison, as a “premise that unites and transcends cultural and conventional dress codes.” Ye and his new girlfriend Julia Fox were in attendance, as were Tyler, the Creator; Gunna, Pharrell, and Pusha-T.
The latter’s name trended on social media Sunday (Jan. 23) as clips of the show — containing fresh Pusha bars — surfaced online.
“Hear me clearly If y’all niggas fear me, just say y’all fear me/ these drug dealer rollies is my TikTok and Triller/ insecure bitches get lip fillers/ covered in white like bridezilla/ and never been caught, so what’s the Shigggy dance for a brick nigga/ extracurricular/ art buyer, A12 ‘rarri driver/ spent six just to make the roof Harry Potter/ kilogram kickstarter/ push a brick harder/ left my elbow in the pot a la Vince Carter/ compared to two martyrs but I’m chasing moguls/ bosses meet for hibachi in the back of Nobu.”
It’s unclear whether the track will appear on Pusha’s forthcoming album. However, the song is believed to belong to Kenzo’s artistic designer’s upcoming album, I Know Nigo. The album, which features Push, A$AP Rocky, Kid Cudi, Pharrell, Lil Uzi Vert, and more, reportedly served as the soundtrack to his show.
As REVOLT previously reported, Pusha was supposed to deliver his new album last year. He even boasted that he would have the best album of 2021. “I think I’ve topped Daytona for sure,” he said in an interview with Billboard. “One-thousand percent.”
According to the G.O.O.D. Music president, the project will be produced by Ye and The Neptunes. Let’s hope he drops sooner than later.
