The Gunna and Chlöe Bailey dating rumors have been heating up since the two were spotted in multiple outings over the past few months — the most notable being after a Los Angeles Lakers-Sacramento Kings game, where they could be seen holding hands upon leaving. Over the weekend, “The Breakfast Club” premiered an interview with Gunna in promotion of his new album DS4EVER, where he spoke on his relationship with his Atlanta counterpart, specifically in regards to what their status is (also: they’re not cousins), his flirtatious social media post following Chlöe‘s MTV Music Awards performance, and more:

“Definitely not my cousin … We’re really close friends, know what I’m saying. We got a hit hit song together … [she’s] one you gotta go on and be honest with, I ain’t finna play with you…”

Yesterday (Jan. 17), Chlöe took to Instagram Live to chat with her fans about her life and career, and she made sure to speak on Gunna as well — simply put, she’s happy with her contribution to DS4EVER and keeping the focus on the music:

“I love the song, and I’m so happy you guys love it too, and, he’s like such a good friend, and I love that song, and I was so happy to be on the album, so check it out if you have not, while you wait for my new music, darling…”

The song in question, titled “you & me,” sees production from ​lvl35dav, Aldaz, and Taurus and interpolates Jon B.’s 90’s hit “They Don’t Know,” with Gunna and Chlöe harmonizing about not letting outside forces messing up the love they have together:

“Don’t listen to what people say, they don’t know about, ’bout you and me, keep it out your mind ’cause it’s jealousy, they don’t know, what people say, ’bout you and me, they don’t know…”
