If there’s anyone that’s determined to keep true-to-form R&B alive, it’s Kenyon Dixon. In fact, the Watts muli-talent has been one of the most vocal with the masses with it comes to defending and breakdown the artform:
“I’m never gonna fail y’all with R&B because the music is divine. The ideas don’t come from me. I’m just obedient to creating what I feel led to and that’s where the consistency comes from. When it’s a part of your purpose, all you have to do is be willing and show up.”
Today (Jan. 14), Dixon decided to team up with the equally dope Tiffany Gouche for the new single “Love On Replay,” which sees the artists exuding the type of vibes perfect for the bedroom with your significant other:
“You’re not like them, you’re so different, you stay on my mind … all the things I often dream of, you bring them to life, love on replay, have me your way, every single time … Just take my hand, I’ll keep you safe, and just hold me tight, don’t you let me go, you know I love when you take control…”
Last year, Dixon blessed the world with Expectations, an 18-track offering that saw additional contributions from V. Bozeman, Alex Isley, Jade Novah, Aaron Cole, Avery Wilson, and Ré Lxuise. Just before 2022 arrived, he teamed up with Dontae Winslow for an EP variant of said album titled Expectations: An R&B Symphony. Meanwhile, Tiffany Gouche liberated the 15-song masterpiece Lionheart Remastered, an upgrade of her 2012 mixtape LionHeart. More recently, she connected with Robert Glasper and D Smoke for the top tier collaboration “Shine.”
Press play on Kenyon Dixon and Tiffany Gouche‘s “Love On Replay.” Hopefully, both talents have a new body of work arriving sooner than later.
