It’s a Chicago link up in KAMI’s brand new single “Unified” as he taps in with Joey Purp and Vic Mensa for assistance. The new track shines the light on coming together and being in tune with your crew. On the track, Joey Purp is the first to step in an take the first verse as he slides over some production courtesy of Haze and mr99music:
Me and all my n***as unified and I would never tell you if we do collide/ But I’m tryna stack my dollars ’til they human size where they could get you euthanized/ They give us an option and still we choose the lies, that’s cause n***as tell the truth and they get crucified/ I’m loyal to my family ties but truth be told I never dared to choosin’ sides
‘Cause I ain’t ever had a choice, ain’t get to choose the ride, thе devil is a ruthless lie/ Until thеy put me in a box in suit and tie, the shoes a n***a had to fit was super sized
KAMI has already contributed another song this year, the freshly released “it gets better” track that sees some reflective thoughts from the rapper. He and Joey Purp also released their “FOR YOU” and “CHO TALK” collaborations prior to this.
Vic Mensa blessed the masses prior to this with seven-song EP V TAPE, which saw notable contributions from Eryn Allen Kane, Snoh Aalegra, SAINt JHN, BJ The Chicago Kid, DIXSON, and Peter CottonTale. Mensa then followed with March’s I TAPE, another seven-song offering with collaborations alongside Kane, Tish, Zacari, Jeremih, Wyatt Waddell, Chance The Rapper, and Wyclef Jean. His most well known album, The Autobiography, made landfall back in 2017.
Be sure to press play on “Unified” by Kami, Joey Purp, and Vic Mensa.
