Back in April, Kid Ink shared his most recent project ALIVE. The 13-track album included features from Bricc Baby, Rory Fresco, and ISM. He just announced that he will be circling back to share the deluxe version of the project on Jan. 14, and he will be adding on eight new songs to the revamped version. As the first taste from the forthcoming deluxe project, Kid Ink has previously shared “Hoe Games” and “Go Mode.”
Kid Ink is now back with the latest appetizer for the project, this time with his new single “Fenty Secrets.” He has since confirmed this is the final preview before he locks in and unveils the project in full next week. On “Fenty Secrets,” he rides the ICM and Cujo co-produced beat as he references Rihanna’s well-loved line:
Let me take the wheel, made it through the traffic, could tell you more than average/ Life a life that’s lavish, you on one, I want some, don’t play dumb/ No clothes on, just Fenty, don’t tell me/ It’s bout that time that we should slide, just let me drive I know your worth
Prior to this, Kid Ink linked up with RMR for their “Party” single. “Party” came a mere months after the aforementioned ALIVE. That project also marked the first official independent drop the Cali star, immediately following the 2018 EP Missed Calls and acting as the official successor to 2015’s Full Speed. The last couple of years have also seen an album’s worth of loose cuts, including “Holy Grail,” “Look At That,” “Just Chill,” “Live Forever,” and “Kiss The Sky” with Hit Wxnder. He also recently posted a snapshot of his Spotify Wrapped, proudly showing off his 202M streams that represented his successful year.
