Just a few weeks ago, Swedish House Mafia joined forces with The Weeknd to reveal their new collaboration titled “Moth To A Flame.” This week, the partnership returns with a newly unveiled extended version of the track. The timing for its arrival couldn’t be more perfect considering The Weeknd is set to unleash his brand new highly anticipated album dawn FM tomorrow. On the song, The Weeknd slides over some production courtesy of Swedish House Mafia:
Like a moth to a flame I’ll pull you in, I pulled you back to/ What you need initially, it’s just one call away and you’ll leave him, you’re loyal to me but this time, I let you be/ ‘Cause he seems like he’s good for you and he makes you feel like you should and all your friends say he’s the one
His love for you is true but does he know you call me when he sleeps? But does he know the pictures that you keep? But does he know the reasons that you cry? Or tell me, does he know where your heart lies?
It’s been nine years since Swedish House Mafia released their last full-length effort Until Now, which, not including the deluxe editions, saw 10 tracks with additional features from Georgi Kay, Ryan Tedder, John Martin, and Pharrell Williams. That same year would see the group part ways, with Axwell focusing on a solo career while Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso moved forward as a duo.
The Weeknd recently released his “Poison” single, his collaboration with the late Aaliyah, and also joined Rosalia for “La Fama.” He also celebrated the 5th anniversary of his STARBOY album and the 10th anniversary of Echoes of Silence.
