This week, K Shiday decided to bless her fans with a dope freestyle over NoCap‘s August drop “Vaccine,” an Al Geno and KookUp-produced number that’s taken the world by storm. Keeping with the song’s emotionally charged subject matter, Shiday can be heard speaking to a former flame who will more than certainly regret leaving her high and dry:
“I gave you all I had and now you say you leaving, all this shit just fell apart, you stumbling to keep me, can’t forget that shit I told you, is you buggin’? Promise I would never fold too, you be thuggin’, I always told you that you’ll miss this shit if you fucked up, desi’ on my rich bitch shit, and I’m stuntin’, this shit ain’t nothin’ to a G, when you fuckin’ with me…”
Said freestyle also sees a matching visual courtesy of Brandon Collins and Champagne, which shows the Dallas talent on a rooftop over the city. Elsewhere, she delivers her heartfelt lyrics in a park while another women accompanies her via acoustic guitar.
Just prior to the release of “Vaccine Freestyle,” Shiday let her fans know that there’s plenty more coming in 2022:
“I never write about my feelings. This shit rare … HAPPY NEW YEAR. We just getting a started. If it ain’t versatile it’s gone be outa style…”
Throughout much of the past two years, K Shiday could be seen alongside the likes of Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, Big Scarr, and more as a member of Gucci Mane‘s New 1017 collective. Throughout that time, she — and close collaborator and fellow Texan Enchanting) contributed to well-received cuts like “No Luv,” “So Icy,” “1017 Loaded,” “Homeboy On A Shirt,” “Left On Read,” “Iran,” and “Ball & Lead.” This past month, she stepped out on her own with Jukebox, an 11-track body of work that saw additional features from Carolina KT, Malachiae, and Ron E.
