Just prior to the new year, Lil GotIt made a big return with the hard-hitting “Walk Down,” a collaboration alongside CEO Trayle, Lil Double 0, and Biggz. Yesterday (Jan. 5), the Atlanta talent made a visit to Toronto media outlet 6ixBuzz to deliver a freestyle for their “Buzz City” series — simply put, this proves just how much GotIt continues to evolve as a tried and true emcee:
“The coupe match the Cullinan, like butter, slip through other shh, I been rockin’ fuck it hats, you know I’m on the fuckery, you been on some sucka shit, no, no, you can’t get close to me, I’m from Zome 3, got on three cuban links, who frozen me?”
Last June saw Lil GotIt unveiling his fourth studio LP Top Chef GotIt, a 15-track offering that saw additional features from Gunna, Young Thug, Yak Gotti, Lil PJ, NAV, Millie Go Lightly, and blood brother Lil Keed, who appeared on the Hurtboy AG and West-produced “Get N Dere Gang.” Since then, the Atlanta star has continued to remain on the scene via notable appearances on Drummy Boy’s “Wake Up,” Danny Wolf’s Dark Nights in Paradise, 1MILL’s “Breathe,” and ryderoncrack’s “perc cobain” — he also reconnected with Lil PJ for “Father’s Day” back in September.
Currently, Lil GotIt is said to be working on his next official body of work titled Big Zone 3, which will hopefully be landing sometime within the next couple of months. In addition to “Walk Down,” it’s presumed that another top tier single — the Money Musik-produced “Father’s Day,” — will end up on the forthcoming project as well. With some help from Lil PJ, “Father’s Day” sees Lil GotIt at his most boastful from a lyrical standpoint:
“I went Wafi, but the band iced out, it came from Fevzi, smashing in the rain, the tires locked, the cat spinnin’, yeah, the goal is to reach a million, but I can’t stop spendin’, on my right, I got two bitches and a Glock fifty…”
