Young Thug is kicking off the new year with some positive energy. The Punk rapper recently helped a stranded motorist fire up his vehicle.
“Just gave this man a jumpstart,” he said on his Instagram Story while panning the camera to the driver’s truck on the side of the road. “I don’t know why God made him pull me over. but he saw my truck like, ‘Yo, yo, yo!’ And he flagged me down so I gave him a jumpstart.”
Thugger’s act of kindness comes months after he and Gunna teamed up to help low-offender inmates in Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail. As REVOLT previously reported, the two emcees posted bonds for 30 individuals incarcerated for minor crimes.
“This is where we are from,” the Atlanta rapper told WSB-TV in April. “We just woke up and went to the jail with the lawyer and you know DA’s and the prosecutors, you know, the bonding companies and just got as many people as we can out.” Much like he did after sharing his most recent story, Thugger mentioned God’s role in the act. “It feels so good to the point where you start feeling that’s why God put me here,” he continued. “He put me here to do this.”
Young Thug’s attention now appears to be geared toward the release of Gunna’s forthcoming album, the fourth and last of the Drip Season series. According to a post of the tracklist, he is featured on the project alongside Drake, Future, Lil Baby, Kodak Black, 21 Savage, G Herbo, Chris Brown, BLEU, Roddy Ricch and Chloe Bailey, who was recently spotted with Gunna at a Los Angeles Lakers game.
