Gunna has responded after a video of his security guard body-slamming a man went viral. On Wednesday (Dec. 29), a clip of the Atlanta native and his bodyguards shopping at a jewelry store surfaced on social media.
At one point in the outing, an unidentified man appeared to sprint toward the rapper. However, before Gunna could even get out of the way, the man was quickly scooped up, flipped on his back and slammed on the ground by security. On Twitter, fans were impressed with Gunna’s bodyguard’s fast reflexes and swift response.
“Gunna’s Security Need To Be In The WWE,” one person tweeted.
“Gunna needs to give his security a raise after this,” another commented.
Later in the day, Gunna reacted to the dramatic incident on Instagram. Quoting a Bible verse, the 28-year-old suggested that the man attempted to rob him before his security intervened.
“Thou shalt not steal,” he said in an Instagram Story video.
As the video continued to spread online, other fans poked fun at the YSL rapper’s purple and yellow-striped outfit.
“Gunna look like he’s going to cause havoc for Batman and the citizens of Gotham,” one person tweeted.
“Gunna always dressed like he’s wearing someone’s aunty’s pyjamas,” another tweeted.
Besides the clip, Gunna was also in the news this week after teasing an upcoming single and video featuring Young Thug and Future. The song, which Gunna previewed in a one-minute teaser video on Instagram, is reportedly taken off his upcoming album, Drip Season 4.
Gunna released his first Drip Season in 2016, following by the series’ sequel, Drip Season 2, the next year. Drip Season 3, which featured Thugger, Lil Durk, Lil Uzi Vert and more; arrived in 2018.
According to Genius, Drip Season 4 is set to feature appearances from Roddy Ricch, CEO Trayle, 21 Savage, Yak Gotti and more, and is expected to drop next year.
