The release of this single signifies a new form of freedom for the Miami-based artist. “I used to send ‘sneaky links’ to my supporters so they could listen to unreleased tracks that my old team didn’t want me to drop,” she types via Instagram. “Now that I’m free… I’m sending them out just for fun.”

She also took some time earlier this year to share a bit about her journey as a singer, revealing that she is more comfortable with her intuition and artistry. “I’ve evolved in that I’ve trusted myself more, and I’ve been more self-sufficient when it comes to supporting myself and my mental health,” she says in a previous sit-down. “I do regular check-ins as an artist. It’s important that you don’t lose yourself in the game and lose your peace of mind.”
