Earlier this month, Wiz Khalifa dropped what might end up being one of the biggest releases of his career — a collaborative effort with long-time producers Sledgren and Cardo titled Wiz Got Wings. That project comes with 14 songs and additional features from Fedd The God, Young Deji, Curren$y, Larry June, and Chevy Woods.
Just before Christmas day arrived, Wiz dropped off a new visual from said project for “Can’t Stay Sober,” which sees production from Cardo, Duke Beats, and Foley Beats. In Wiz fashion, the subject matter stays centered around the Pittsburgh star living his life the way he wants, complete with money, weed, and women:
“Hoppin’ off the jet, more money to invest, I love to have fun, business, never neglect, niggas know it’s the gang, they never disrespect, a quarter million dollars, I put that on my neck, wanna come at my ride, you better come correct, my niggas down to slide, I put that on the set, no fuckin’ up the vibes, good kush in the air, my hand is on her thighs, gettin’ money everywhere, conduct myself like a player, niggas said what I should do, but I don’t give a fuck…”
The accompanying clip for “Can’t Stay Sober” sees Wiz Khalifa kicking back in his residence, beginning with shots of him enjoying a spliff in the bathtub. Things then move to Wiz laying up in his backyard, enjoying his now well-known gravity bong in his dining room, and more. The simple life, indeed.
As previously reported by REVOLT, Wiz Khalifa recently took to social media to address beef in hip hop, presumably as a reaction to the tragic passing of Cali star Drakeo The Ruler:
“As [entertainers] lets try some shit next year. Minding our own business. Not dis respecting each others family, dead homies, or area they come from. Stop using someone else’s significant other as a one up to the other person. Actually showing the same love you expect to get … Not [saying] any of these are a direct cause of violence but changin em could help…”
