Earlier this month, Berner liberated his latest body of work Gotti, which contains 19 tracks and a wealth of contributions from Future, Nas, Rick Ross, Rod Wave, Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine, Ty Dolla $ign, and more. Earlier this week, the San Francisco talent unveiled a new visual from Gotti for the Cozmo, Daniel Cruz, Max Perry, and RBP-produced “Big Chain,” which features fellow Taylor Gang cohort Wiz Khalifa and sees the above the clouds duo rapping about their well-deserved lifestyles and more:
“Everything new, all of the screens in my Maybach, blew 100K today, it took a day to make that, I’m nervous on the plane, now I lay back in the late flat, I pour champagne and smoke wax the whole way back, when I touch down, they ask me where the weight at, the city’s in this bitch, where the Bay at? Where L.A. at? Where the A at? Your bitch went missing, where her face at? Private chef in the crib, he work at Nobu, yeah I look good, you couldn’t picture what we go through…”
Courtesy of MikeyRare, the accompanying clip for “Big Chain” mixes shots of Berner and Wiz during present times, all while past footage of the duo performing and living life can be seen interspersed throughout. All-in-all, it’s powerful imagery of a man who’s come a long way in the midst of some serious obstacles.
As previously reported by REVOLT, last October saw Berner revealing to the world that he’d been diagnosed with cancer (thankfully, an update via “The Breakfast Club” confirmed that he was winning the battle):
“I think what made Cookies so special and my music career so special was always being transparent and sharing my journey with you guys. So I figured instead of fighting this alone, I wanted the people who got me where I’m at today to fight with me.”
