Earlier this month, Polo G blessed his fans with Hall Of Fame 2.0, a deluxe upgrade of his latest album Hall Of Fame that contains 14 additional songs and features from Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Tjay, and NLE Choppa, the last of whom appears on the Twizz Productions, Smatt Sertified, and Southside-produced “Unapologetic.” The track sees the “Jumpin” duo speaking on their respective affiliations and other street-related subject matter:
“Prada steppin’, in your club, we got a lot of weapons, yeah, bitch, I know that I’m the shit, I’m unapologetic, my steppers marchin’ like a band, they hit your block and wet it, hell nah, we ain’t playin’, you better call the reverend, I was taught to drop a opp before I go and drop a diss, won’t apologize about that lick, tell him come get his shit, come get your shit, brand new bitch with brand new tits, her ass thicker than Jiffy mix, don’t fuck with no set-up, bitch, you play, I smack you with this blick…”
Directed by Ben Marc, the accompanying clip for “Unapologetic” sees the Chicago-to-Memphis connection out at night with an expressive line-up of fast cars. They continue to perform their verses in different locations as crew members and women appear throughout the the rest of the video.
Hall Of Fame first made landfall back in June, and came with 20 tracks and collaborations alongside The Kid LAROI, Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, G Herbo, Rod Wave, DaBaby, Nicki Minaj, Roddy Ricch, and more. The project is both a huge critical and commercial success, landing Polo G his first number one album thanks to 143,000 album equivalent units sold during his first week of release. The album has also since earned him a Gold certification.
