Flavor Flav narrowly escaped death after a boulder fell on his car, TMZ writes. According to the outlet, the 62-year-old was driving from Las Vegas to Los Angeles on Tuesday (Dec. 14) when heavy rainfall caused a boulder to roll down a cliff in La Tuna Canyon, smashing into the right side of Flav’s car.

The Public Enemy alum briefly lost control of the vehicle, but he is thankfully ok. His car was totaled by the massive boulder, but Flav was able to get it safely off the road where a member of his team called AAA.

According to TMZ, if the boulder had struck the car just a few feet closer to where Flav was sitting, the rapper would have been killed.

After the accident, Flav told the outlet that he “came very close to death but is super grateful to be alive.” “God is good,” he added. Flav thankfully didn’t sustain any injuries, but TMZ writes that he was “mentally shaken up” by the freak accident. Another driver reportedly witnessed the whole incident and stopped to make sure he was ok.

The last time REVOLT reported on Flav, the iconic hypeman was working with Dr. Dre on his upcoming album.

“I was just at Dr. Dre’s house a week and a half ago,” Flav revealed on the “Wild Ride! with Steve-O” podcast in August. “One of the best people in the world, man. Not only that, but I’m honored for him to have me record something at his house for his upcoming album that’s getting ready to come out. That’s big to me, man. C’mon. Flavor Flav on a Dr. Dre album? Man. Word. That’s big to me, bro.”

Earlier this week, Dr. Dre announced that his upcoming album is a joint project with Marsha Ambrosius called Casablanco, though he hasn’t shared an official release date yet.
