Last week, Polo G released the deluxe edition of his third LP Hall of Fame — dubbed Hall of Fame 2.0 — which contained 14 new cuts and collaborations alongside Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo, YungLiv, NLE Choppa, and Lil Tjay. Following well-received videos for “Bad Man (Smooth Criminal)” and “Young N Dumb” comes another for “Fortnight,” a Haze, Zuus, and KaiGoinKrazy-produced offering that sees the Chicago emcee celebrating his successes while reflecting on those who are no longer with him to enjoy it:
“I been stuntin’ on ’em like I skateboard, and they say it cost to be the boss, well, I can pay for it, feel like a real soldier tryna live through everyday war, I come from a city, if they starvin’, they’ll take yours, I made it out so my Patek be feelin’ like a trophy, I got twenty-four chains, ballin’ like I’m Kobe, felt underrated, had to gain my recognition slowly, I bet she gon’ say I’m the realest if she get to know me…”
The Ryan Lynch-directed clip sees Polo G with his crew at his lavish residence, with shots showcasing his Corvette, jewelry, high-end threads, and — of course — stacks of money, some of which he can be seen throwing off of his indoor terrace. Elsewhere, he heads out to a skatepark to continue delivering vibes amongst the crowd.
Hall of Fame first made landfall back in June, and boasted 20 songs and additional contributions from the Kid LAROI, Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, G Herbo, Rod Wave, DaBaby, Young Thug, Nicki Minaj, the late Pop Smoke, and more. The album became the first Billboard 200 number one of Polo G’s career, thanks to 143,000 first-week album equivalent units sold — Hall of Fame has also since earned a Gold certification since its release.
