Larry June and Cardo linked up back in September and presented their joint project Into The Late Night. The body of work boasts seven new tracks and remains featureless to ensure the duo’s musical chemistry is front and center. Today (Dec. 7), the frequent collaborators share the official visual for “Gas Station Stop,” which is the introduction track from the project. Directed by Lestyn Park, the music video shows June and his crew posted up at a local gas station, which is a necessary stop during a night out in the town. On the song, Larry spits some truth about Friday night essentials:
Fifty on three, ninety one when I’m pumpin’, it’s Friday night, and the blade is jumpin’/ She put it in my hand now I’m smokin’ and I’m thumbin’, if she ain’t cashin’ out then she gotta do somethin’/ Bounced out, parking lot pimp, motor runnin’
Sidin’ on me chunky, ‘case a n***a try somethin’, I’on’t give a fuck about your motherfuckin’ politics/ Get up off your ass lil’ n***a make somethin’, money on my motherfuckin’ mind while I’m slidin’/
June is currently in the final leg of his sold out North American “Orange Print Pollstar Tour” and has had a banner year culminating in NPR naming “Iced Coffee” from Orange Print LP as a top 100 song of the year. Back in June, Larry unleashed his Orange Print project and has been providing smooth visuals for his fans to vibe to at a steady pace ever since. First up was “Still Cookin,” then cuts like “6am In Sausalito” and “Intercepted” featuring Money Man. Since its release, the Orange Print surpassed well over 25M streams and cracked the Billboard Top 200 for the first time in his career.
