Last month, rising Dallas artist Bando. teamed up with TDE veteran Isaiah Rashad for the anthemic and celebratory “Payday.” Today (Dec. 2), the duo linked once again to provide an official visual to go along with the track. The freshly released clip features scenes of the wild life on the road as Bando.’s verse plays to kick it off:
Ayy, herringbone chain swang a bit, telephone ring hang the bitch/ I just answer for the dough, dough, dough, dough/ Yeah, I can’t even really explain this shit, it ain’t really been the same since I got some change/ I just wanted more, more, more, more, more, more (Yuh)
Ayy, payday (Payday), please get rid of my headache (Headache)/ Need my change like Mayday? (Mayday), need my bank so heavy (Yeah, yeah)/ Ayy, we just really wanted more, morе/ Yeah, yeah, ayy I need my bank doubled up, triplеd up, Westbrook probably be proud of me
The new offering follows up his Bellflower project from last year. That body of work boasted 7 songs and included features from names like Matt Swagnew, Coach Tev, and Alexander Lewis. Prior to that were singles like “Greenhouse,” “Black Honey,” and “Birfday.”
Back in July, Isaiah Rashad unleashed his highly anticipated The House Is Burning album. A few weeks later, the TDE staple returned with bonus tracks on his critically acclaimed, Billboard-charting project. Dubbed The House Is Burning [homies begged], the set adds four tracks that showcase Rashad’s range. Two of the new songs include brilliant features from rising Atlanta natives Young Nudy and Deante’ Hitchcock, and additionally Rashad links with Memphis legends Project Pat and Juicy J for a remix of fan-favorite “RIP Young.” Since then, he has also released cinematic videos for a pair of tracks, including “The House Is Burning” and the star-studded clips for “Chad.”
