It’s been a little over a week since the hip hop community learned of Young Dolph’s tragic passing, but memories of the late emcee last forever. On Thursday (Nov. 25), as many prepared to enjoy their Thanksgiving feasts, Offset took to Instagram to share a hilarious throwback video of one of his most cherished moments with the Memphis rapper.
The clip, from the set of the video for Offset’s “Break the Bank” collaboration with Dolph, captured a stripper as she attempted to climb up a pole, slipped and fell right on her head. Though both rappers appeared to be in work mode during the shoot, the “Clout” emcee looked back at the video in amusement, writing, “Good memories with my boy @youngdolph” alongside a few laughing emojis. “I miss my boy.”
The post was met with more laughing faces from Desiigner and Rich The Kid.
Dolph has been the center of tributes since his untimely death on Nov. 17. After news outlets confirmed that he was fatally shot while at a Makeda’s Cookies in Memphis, celebrities, including Gucci Mane, Megan Thee Stallion, Quavo, Lil Yachty and his cousin Key Glock took to Twitter to react to the news and remember their late friend.
Most recently, his family broke their silence and issued a statement addressing their loss.
“There are no words that exist, that sufficiently express the pain we are feeling as a family. Losing Adolph, Dolph, Man-Man, changes our lives forever,” they wrote. “And while we will take each day as it comes, we are comforted in knowing that he leaves a legacy that reflects his heart. A heart that was for his family. A heart that was for the people.”
“We are grateful for the outpouring of love,” they continued. “We are grateful that his godly obligation to show kindness to the world is being acknowledged.”
