Proudly hailing from Harlem, rising star SIRA is ready to show the world what she can do with her artistry. This month, the singer-songwriter unleashed her debut single “Are U Here (Right Now),” which arrived with a self-directed music video to match. Being a graduate of Syracuse University with career experience in filmmaking and mixed media art, SIRA made sure to showcase her wide array of talents in the new visual beyond just the music itself. On the freshly released “Are U Here (Right Now),” SIRA effortlessly rides some smooth production courtesy of longtime friend and Grammy-nominated producer-engineer Snel:

You can’t have that, no you can’t have that/ Working through all the beauty, the madness, wonder what you see in me, what I see in you/ Wе can’t see this through, where we go from hеreI feel trapped in here/ This sh- confirmed my fears, I wanna disappear but I’ma do just what I wanna

SIRA recently took a moment to share a few words about her intentions with her debut track and how each carefully crafted detail came together fluidly to express her message. “‘Are U Here (Right Now)’ offered me an opportunity to make a statement about who I am and where I’m headed,” she exclusively tells REVOLT. Every aspect of the debut was executed with intention, from the digitally self-created intro and outro, the donning of garments made by Black designers, and her all Black production team.

“From the song itself to the visuals to my tag, it all calls for attention,” she continues. “Requiring the audience to acknowledge their presence while recognizing my own. Allowing you to see me for exactly who I am. It’s a great introduction to me —SIRA, the multidisciplinary artist. I’m just getting started.” Equipped with a vision, undeniable talent, and endless support, the future for SIRA looks bright.
