Kheris Rogers is shining brighter than ever. The young star has just dropped off her brand new single today (Nov. 19) and is setting out to embark on her career as a recording artist, on top of already being a successful entrepreneur. The freshly released “Drop Top Thang” arrives equipped with a sassy, pink-themed music video, which sees Kheris showing off her confidence, moves, and sweet vocals. In her smooth verse, Kheris’ drops a few references to powerful female figures along the way:

Kheris’ story is a journey to success that will make anyone’s heart warm. After being on the receiving end of bullying because of her skin tone, she shifted that energy into creating a successful clothing line Flexin’ In My Complexion. In just three years, her business has already won over some high-profile fans like Alicia Keys, Lena Waithe. Lupita Nyong’o, and Drake.

In one of her recent interviews, Kheris shared a few words of wisdom to her fellow budding starts in hopes that her message will make others feel heard and encourage them to bask in their individuality. “I hope my message teaches other kids who may be experiencing bullying that you are not alone,” she says. “We are all unique, smart, and creative in our own way. Our differences [are] what makes us special, and that should be embraced, so it does not matter what other people think of you.”
