A group of armed men interrupted a night of fun at a Teyana Taylor event. As TMZ reported, the founder of The Aunties Inc. production company was hosting a Halloween party at the Sunset Room in Hollywood on Saturday night (Oct. 30) when three armed men attempted to rob three women standing outside of the venue.
According to the outlet, one of the ladies was struck by a pistol amid the attempted burglary, prompting the security guard to spring into action and ring fire. The ensuing gunfire exchange resulted in multiple missed shots that mainly hit cars parked in the surrounding area.
Unfortunately, the assailants took off, successfully making their escape before emergency responders arrived at the scene. As for the woman who was hit by the firearm, she refused medical attention upon the paramedics’ arrival. It’s not clear whether anything was stolen from any of the ladies.
According to a few outlets, Taylor and her husband, Iman Shumpert, dressed as Wayne and Garth from the 1992 film Wayne’s World for their Halloween party. The “Rose in Harlem” star also channeled her inner Madam Slay from Blank Panther for this year’s Halloween festivities.
While the Harlem native has the ability to host events, she is also well versed in fashion, directing videos and singing, which she has given up after years of feeling “unheard and unseen.” She will officially solidify the end of her music career with “The Last Rose Petal Farewell Tour,” which is set to begin this month.
“How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard…. However for every goodbye, God makes the next hello closer,” Taylor wrote when she announced the tour on Instagram. “Come out and watch me, leave it all out on the stage… One last time… Just for you & as my last rose petal falls, I say farewell….”
