The mother and stepfather of Los Angeles rapper Blueface were victims of a home intrusion that took place in Santa Clarita earlier this month.
According to a TMZ report, the emcee’s mother Karlissa Saffold and her husband, Sterling, called authorities on Oct. 11 after four intruders shattered their back window in attempt to break into their home.
“The mom and stepdad came down, saw glass all over the place, made eye contact with the suspects, and they ran away,” said Sgt. Brian Shreves of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “And they called the cops, cops came and took a report.”
Nearly three hours later, the intruders returned to the location, successfully broke in and encountered Blueface’s stepfather, who shouted at them to “get out.” As they tried to flee the scene, “the stepdad tried to grab one of them by the arm, slipped and fell on the rug,” said Shreves. He was kicked in the face by one suspect; two others reportedly held him at gunpoint before letting him free and fleeing the scene. Mr. Saffold was later taken to the hospital where he was treated for a concussion and received ten stitches to his left eye.
According to officials, no items were stolen during the break-in, and no arrests were made in connection to the incident, which is currently being investigated by the Santa Clarity County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities, however, believe that the intruders were possibly targeting the “Thotiana” star as he reportedly owns the residence.
The home invasion of Blueface’s parents comes nearly two months after the mother of another emcee had her own experience with a break-in. In September, Polo G hired 24-hour security after his momager, Stacia Mac, discharged her weapon against armed suspects who entered her home. She offered $10,000 to anyone with information that could potentially lead to the arrests of the burglars.
