It’s been nine years since Swedish House Mafia released their last full-length effort Until Now, which, not including the deluxe editions, saw 10 tracks with additional features from Georgi Kay, Ryan Tedder, John Martin, and Pharrell Williams. That same year would see the group part ways, with Axwell focusing on a solo career while Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso moved forward as a duo. Thankfully, they were able to return to the proverbial fold six years later — fast forward to now, and the Swedish outfit is said to be putting the final touches on their new album Paradise Again.
Thus far, fans have received two singles from said forthcoming release — “It Gets Better” and “Lifetime,” the latter of which also sees assists from Ty Dolla $ign and 070 Shake. Today (Sept. 17), they add to that with “Moth To A Flame,” another cinematic drop that comes with infectious vocals courtesy of The Weeknd. “Moth To A Flame” is also said to have additional production from pop group Vargas & Lagola.
Perhaps in promotion of Paradise Again, it’s been announced that Swedish House Mafia have partnered with IKEA to create a collection of pieces designed to bolster “music and creativity at home.” They spoke more on the venture via the furniture giant’s website, which officially launches exactly one year from now:
“We both wanted to reach out of our comfort zones and create something new and fresh together: a pure collaboration between music creators and a home expert. We strongly felt a need to collaborate with someone who shared our vision of making it possible for everyone to create music at home. As artists and producers, we also understand the importance of a home studio set-up and the needs and challenges many up-and-coming artists and creatives have at home.”
