Kanye West is selling his 9,000-acre Wyoming ranch, Daily Mail reports. According to the outlet, the Donda rapper has listed the sprawling property, which is where he plotted his 2020 presidential run, for $11 million.
The asking price is $3 million less than what it was when Kanye purchased the Monster Lake Ranch for $14 million in 2019, Daily Mail writes. However, it was reported at the time that Ye bought the property for less than the asking price.
The ranch’s new listing reads: “The once in a lifetime property contains a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lease, equipment sheds, equine facility, livestock corrals and hay meadows. The lodge, commercial kitchen, go cart track and trophy trout fishing bring commercial opportunities. The views of the sandstone cliffs and Absaroka mountains make it a premier Wyoming ranch investment.”
Kanye relocated to Wyoming in 2018 for his “Wyoming Sessions,” which spawned his 2018 album Ye, Teyana Taylor’s K.T.S.E., Pusha T’s Daytona, Nas’ Nasir and his joint album with Kid Cudi, Kids See Ghosts. However, Kanye reportedly wanted to move his family to Wyoming “full time,” which Us Weekly reported in January was a “breaking point” in his marriage to estranged wife Kim Kardashian.
“Kanye is jealous of the amount of time Kim has dedicated to prison reform and the kids,” a source reportedly told the publication at the time. “Kanye wanted the family to move to Wyoming full-time. It’s where he sees this direction of his life going. Kim just doesn’t see their lives full-time in Wyoming.”
Last year, while speaking with GQ about his presidential campaign, Ye told the outlet that the ranch would be the location of a new Yeezy Campus.
“I was looking for a spot to start the Yeezy Campus and we needed thousands of acres,” he said. “So, we went to the Caldera House in Jackson Hole and started looking for property in Wyoming. And I believe this is the first property we looked at. By the time we were about to leave the ranch, I fell in love with it, and I bought it, and now we’re here.”
