Jesy Nelson has officially embarked on her journey as a solo artist and she came in with a bang. Her debut single “Boyz” boasts a feature from the legendary Nicki Minaj, samples “Bad Boys For Life” by Diddy, and even pays homage to the original music video. Diddy gave the duo a blessing himself by making a cameo halfway through. For her feature, Nicki slides in seamlessly and kicks things off with a Biggie reference an carries that same energy throughout:

Jesy had a massively successful career with her Little Mix group in the UK and they went on to release numerous albums and singles together, with the most recent on being Confetti just last year. Back in May, Nicki made an official return to the forefront with a re-issue of her 2009 classic Beam Me Up Scotty, which mixed choice cuts from the original body of work and older loosies with new drops like “Seeing Green” and “Crocodile Teeth.” More recently, Drake posted a pic of him in Nicki’s studio, prompting many to believe that some new music is coming in the near future. She also hopped on “WHOLE LOTTA MONEY” by BIA for its official remix.
