Joey Fatts is steadily gearing up to unleash his official Joey The Album project within the next few days, and to prep fans for its arrival he just dropped off the visual for the Dave East-assisted cut “Dead and Gone.” The album, which is set to arrive on Sept. 24, will include names like RobTwo, A Reece, Seddy Hendrix, and of course Dave East across 10 total tracks. On the song, Joey sets the tone with his intro bars about his priorities:
They gon’ hate you like you do ‘em wrong, they gon’ hate you like you never tried to put ‘em on/ A lot of changing faces like what’s going on/ These n***as two faced and I gotta leave ‘em alone/ These bitches be crazy, I gotta leave ‘em alone/
My daughter need it all before I’m dead and gone, gon’ give this shit my all until I’m dead and gone/ Forever defying odds shit is set in stone/ Wayne up in my headphones, used to take the bus home/
Joey Fatts’ last body of work was G Way 2 from earlier this year, which was equipped with 10 songs as well and included a sole feature from Nhale. The first installment of the G Way series arrived last year, boasting appearances from fellow West Coast heads like G Perico, Slimmy B and frequen collaborator Robtwo.
Last month, Dave East and Harry Fraud liberated their anticipated project HOFFA. The new joint project was set to spawn a series of accompanying cinematic visuals like “The Disappearance” and “Diamonds.” Equipped with a total of 14 records, Dave East hand-picked some of the industry’s most thorough artists as features including G Herbo, Jim Jones, Benny The Butcher, Curren$y, French Montana and more.
