Currently, Playboi Carti is still flying high off the release of his sophomore studio LP Whole Lotta Red, which contained 24 tracks with additional features from Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Future. In addition to receiving a universally positive response, Whole Lotta Red was a commercial success for the Atlanta star, earning him his first number one placement on the Billboard 200 thanks to an impressive 100,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. The project also made a slew of appearances on album charts in several other countries, including the Netherlands, Australia, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Next month, Playboi Carti will begin hitting stages near you as part of his “Narcissist” tour, which kicks off October 14 in Nashville, TN before moving around the United States and Canada — the tour is scheduled to end December 23 in Carti’s hometown.
Given recent social media posts, it’s also very possible that Carti has even more music to treat his fans to. Back in August, the Die Lit talent threw up a cryptic post of fashionable pics and the below description, leading many to think that a follow-up for Whole Lotta Red is already on the way:
He then followed that up with another similar post with the same message. Presumably, it looks like Carti isn’t done with taking over your airwaves or streaming platforms.
