Adekunle Gold has officially unleashed his latest single, and he tapped in none other than Lucky Daye for the assist. The freshly released “Sinner” is also paired with a stunning new visual featuring Gold’s lovely co-star Simi. As the two spend a romantic weekend together poolside, Adekunle delivers his opening verse:
Loving you be my greatest sin, said I was done but see I’m here/ You don’t make it easy rara, to stay away from yawa/ Sheba o Sheba girl, you make me a sinner, Sheba o Sheba/ Don’t make me pull the trigger, never say never, know I can do whatever/
For Sheba oh be mine, don’t wanna be a sore-loser, no/ Drunk on your potion, can feel my lips burning/ Losing composure (Yeah, yeah) can feel my face drowning/ Seems so irrational, ready to risk it all, ff I can’t have you, nobody can
Nigeria’s very own Adekunle Gold released his Afro Pop, Vol. 1 last year. Since then, he’s shared some dope assists, like on Nao’s “Antidote,” El Mukuka’s “Lost,” and Shay Lia’s “Irrational (Remix).” In 2020, we also received a slew of singles from him including “Toxic” with Reminisce, “AG Baby” with Nailah Blackman, “Something Different,” and “Jore” featuring Kizz Daniel. Before that was the 2018 project About 30.
In terms of other recent collabs from Lucky Daye, he appeared on Sinéad Harnett’s sophomore album Ready Is Always Too Late and also assisted BJ The Chicago Kid for “Make You Feel Good.” Earlier this year, Lucky Daye released his Table For Two EP, which features assists from Mahalia, Ari Lennox, Queen Naija, and Joyce Wrice. In 2019, Lucky Daye shared his Painted project back in 2019, a featureless project that boasts his mega-hit “Roll Some Mo” and also cuts like “Late Night” and “Karma.” The following year, he added six additional tracks and presented a deluxe version of the project.
