Rumors of Kanye West’s upcoming Donda album have been confirmed by Pusha T. On Monday (July 19), the president of Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music record label posted a flyer on social media announcing that his friend and collaborator will be hosting a massive listening party ahead of the album’s release.
Per the basic flyer, the event is scheduled to take place 8 p.m. Thursday, July 22 at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium aka home of the Atlanta Falcons. No other details have been provided, but considering the 75,000-seat capacity, the party will most likely be open to the public.
Pusha’s post comes on the heels of Justin LaBoy’s revelation that a Kanye album is on the way.
In a slew of tweets posted on Sunday (July 18), the “Respectfully Justin” host — who was spotted with Ye at a Big3 basketball game over the weekend — told social media users that he and Kevin Durant heard the album while in Vegas and called the project a “classic.”
“The production is light years ahead of it’s [sic] time, and the bars sound like he’s broke & hungry trying to get signed again,” he tweeted. “Any artist who plan on dropping soon should just push it back.”
Donda, a ccording to photographer Nigel D. who attended a listening party on Sunday, is “about having faith in God and overcoming adversity” and will see Kanye open up about “personal struggles and struggles others face.” The project will feature Lil Baby; a leaked track list reveals that Post Malone, Griselda, KayCyy, Travis Scott and Baby Keem may also be on the album. Unfortunately, after missing his flight, Lil Durk lost his opportunity to make an appearance on the record.
