Hours after Lil Baby responded to Logan Paul’s claim that his music sounded the same as everyone else’s, Paul has stepped forward to admit that he was wrong.
Today (July 8), Paul tweeted out a simple message in response to a 2020 clip in which he critiques Lil Baby’s music. He kept it brief, but not much else needs to be said.
“I was wrong about Lil Baby,” Paul wrote in the tweet.
Paul’s original comments, which were made during an episode of his “Impaulsive” podcast, surfaced around the same time that Lil Baby unloaded his My Turn album last year. He didn’t pull any punches with his criticism.
“Lil Baby, he’ll pop up on my Spotify… I’m scrolling through and I fucking can’t get away from Lil Baby songs,” Paul said at the time. “I’m all for the new artists, but this one in particular I have no idea what he’s saying. I have none. And it all sounds the same. His tone is the same it’s all the same. I give him a year.”
Because one Twitter account posted a clip of that moment to their timeline yesterday, the comments went viral. Earlier today, Lil Baby responded to Paul with a pair of dismissive tweets. In one tweet, Lil Baby suggested that he doesn’t know who Paul is. In the tweet, he wrote, “Logan Who?” In another tweet, Baby wrote, “More like give em a year to have 100ms.”
Now, the question is, which project or song changed Logan Paul’s mind? Was did he just have more time to sit with My Turn during the quarantine? Or was it Baby’s Voice of the Heroes joint album with Lil Durk that swayed his opinion? Paul hasn’t given any details on that front as of yet. Maybe he will soon. For now, check out Paul’s tweet below.
