Following his SuperGood project from last year, Duckwrth is now back to prep fans for his forthcoming Super Good 8 EP, which is set to make landfall in September. He recently released “Birthday Suit,” and now his follow up track “Make U Go” is finally unleashed for fans to enjoy. On the track, he rides the Waseel and AREYOU production:
Heaven knows, I need to know selfish, hella ‘lone, ain’t never know, help me/ If you let your worries go, I bet the sun will show, I bet the grass will grow/ You know it and, and if I hit it from the back/ You know I grind it slow, I bet your ass will grow, for sure/
Lock the door, it’s grown folk shit, going down yo neck, yo back/ Bite it soft, I won’t attack, should’ve known when you pulled up/ On my side of town
Back in 2020, Duckwrth unleashed the aforementioned SuperGood project. It included 16 tracks and boasted features from names like Jean Deaux, KIAN, two from Julia Romana, G.L.A.M., EARTHGANG, Kyle Dion, Alex Mali, Radio Ahlee, and BAYLI. DUCKWRTH also can be heard handing out assists on recent projects such as Caleborate’s new Light Hit My Skin, Louis the Child’s Here for Now (Deluxe), and Tobe Nwigwe’s CINCORIGINALS.
In a conversation from last year, Duckwrth delved into how important it is to him to make feel-good music as an artist. “It’s super important because people need to be reminded of what joy looks like, what happiness looks like,” he says. “What it feels like to dance again and celebrate that we’re still here. I didn’t wanna make a record that was super politically driven. You can check out a couple different projects more in that effort. I wanted to go to spirit and give people a safe space to find joy again.”
