Stefflon Don has returned with her latest offering, and it’s packed with reminders why we love her. In the freshly released “Murda (Freestyle Badness)” clip, the Don unloads a non-stop spree of straight bars over Timbaland and Magoo’s 2001 classic “Drop.” The video even ends with the coveted co-sign of Timb himself, as the clip ends with footage of a FaceTime call between Stefflon and the legendary producer. On the track, the UK star delivers her high-energy signature flow:
Duppy di riddim and den wi kill dem with juice, bad from mi born, yea, mi badda dan you/ Put dem inna pot dem gyal deh fi get stew, only wicked and bad gyal deh inna my crew
In Stefflon Don-related news, she has been in a collaborative mood this year as she joins her peers for some dope joint tracks and remixes. Some of these include cuts like “Best Friend (Remix)” with Saweetie and Doja Cat, Shenseea’s “Rebel (Remix),” and Yxng Bane’s “Birthday.”
Prior to that, she recruited Tiwa Savage and Rema back in February for her “Can’t Let You Go (Remix).” That track follows a a few singles from Stefflon, including “Move,” “Take Off” with Kojo Funds,” “Don Walk” with Rymez, “Phone Down” with Lil Baby, and “Hit Me Up” — she’s also made fairly recent appearances on tracks like Wiley’s “Boasty,” Kash Doll’s “How It’s Done,” JP Cooper’s “The Reason Why,” and “Link Up” with Geko. Currently, she’s said to be working on her official debut LP.
Her last full-length project, SECURE, made landfall in 2018 and saw 16 cuts with additional appearances from Future, Tiggs Da Author, Fekky, Haile, Sean Paul, Popcaan, Sizzla, and DJ Khaled. 2018 was also the same year that Stefflon joined the likes of Lil Pump, Smokepurpp, JID, YBN Nahmir, and Trippie Redd as members of XXL’s highly touted Freshman class.
