Currently, Coi Leray is (presumably) still celebrating her inclusion into this year’s XXL Freshman list, joining the likes of 42 Dugg, Flo Milli, Morray, Pooh Shiesty, Toosii, Blxst, and Rubi Rose as was of the newer stars to check for this year and moving forward. Today, she looks to build off of that momentum with her latest single “At The Top,” a collaboration with Kodak Black and Mustard — along with co-producers Nic Nac and Count Bassy — that sees the artists rapping about their success and the lack of competition around them in their current positions:
“Yeah, they can’t stop greatness, it’s levels to this shit, just gotta have patience, put my mom in a new car, that shit was outdated, so do me a favor, don’t do me no favors, don’t do me a favor, don’t do me no favors, at the top it get lonely, fuck what they’re will say, they don’t know me, and if you say you are loyal you gotta show me…”
“At The Top” follows the previously released singles “Slide” with Gunna, “No More Parties (Remix)” with Lil Durk, “Big Purr (Prrdd)” with Pooh Shiesty, and “Bout Me.” In addition to her own releases, Coi Leray has also appeared on DDG and OG Parker’s “Impatient,” Rich The Kid’s “Boss Bitch,” EARTHGANG’s “Options (Remix),” KyleYouMadeThat’s “All About Cake,” Pressa’s “Attachments (Remix),” and Enchanting’s “Freaky Deaky.” Simply put, the Boston-to-New Jersey talent is quickly becoming one of the hottest commodities in the game.
In a past interview with REVOLT, Leray spoke on her exponentially growing crowd of devotees:
“I have a very loyal fanbase. Not only that, I have a very big support system. I haven’t even dropped a debut album. I’ve got the biggest artists following me … Any influencer you can think of who’s huge, who’s a star, everybody follows me and I get so much support.”
Enjoy Leray’s latest.
